General description

UDG (Uracil-DNA Glycosylase) can catalyze the hydrolysis of dU-containing DNA, single-stranded or double-stranded uracil base and sugar phosphate backbone N-glycosidic bond and release free uracil therefore, the resulting abasic sites are easily broken by hydrolysis.
