Bisdemethoxycurcumin has been used:
- to test its inhibitory effect on cell cycle and mitochondrial function in gastric adenocarcinoma cells

Biochem/physiol Actions
Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BMDC) is a stable dimethoxy derivative of curcumin and is useful as a supplement in cell culture medium. It also possesses antimicrobial, antioxidative and neuroprotective functionality.
NF-kB転写活性のインヒビター
ビスジメトキシクルクミン(BDMC)は、誘導体またはクルクミンであり、ウコンから単離されたクルクミン産物の主要な活性成分の1つです。BDMCには、ジメトキシクルクミンと同様の抗炎症特性がみられます。NF-kB活性化を遮断することによってLPSに誘導される一酸化窒素(NO)産生とRAW264.7細胞でのiNOSおよびCOX2の発現を阻害します。また、BDMCは、MGAT3遺伝子およびTLR遺伝子の上方制御によってβアミロイドのクリアランスを亢進するうえで、独自の特性を示します。BDMCは、AKR1B10を阻害する可能性があります。
