Application
細菌から壊れやすい生体分子やRNAを分離するための、緩やかな細胞可溶化を提供します。 DNAの分離のためのスフェロプラストの形成に使用されています。
ムタノリシンは、乳連鎖球菌（dairystreptococci）の可溶化とプロトプラスト形成の評価に使用されています。 また、グループBの連鎖球菌（streptococci）のプロトプラストへの変換を調べる研究にも使用されています。 [2] 細菌から壊れやすい生体分子やRNAを分離するための、緩やかな細胞可溶化を提供します。 DNAの分離のためのスフェロプラストの形成に使用されています。
Biochem/physiol Actions
ムタノリシンは、N-アセチルムラミダーゼの一つです。 本酵素は、リゾチームと同様に、細菌の細胞壁ポリマーであるペプチドグリカン-多糖のβ-N-アセチルムラミル-(1→4)-N-アセチルグルコサミン結合を切断する、細胞壁分解酵素です。本酵素のカルボキシル末端領域が、特定の細胞壁ポリマーの認識および結合に関与しています。 ムタノリシンは、リステリア菌ならびに乳酸桿菌および乳酸球菌等の他のグラム陽性菌を溶菌します。
