General description
レチノールまたはビタミンAアルコール体は、ビタミンAの主要な循環型です。レチノールは生物活性物質ではありません。レチノールまたは全トランス型レチノールは、シクロヘキセニル環、4つの二重結合（トランス配置）を持つ側鎖1本、アルコール末端基を有する、炭素20個からなる分子です。
Application
レチノールは以下に使用されます：
- HepG2細胞における全トランス型レチノイン酸の合成
- オルガノイドとして培養されるマウス正常腸細胞の増殖における、レチノールの影響を調べる研究
- 細胞中のビタミンAを測定するための標準物質として
- 精巣細胞培養用、およびin vitroでの精子形成用の合成培地の成分として。
Biochem/physiol Actions
レチノールとその誘導体には、アンチエイジング特性があります。さらに、アンチリンクル剤としても機能します。しかし、光に対して不安定であり、皮膚を刺激する可能性があるため、幅広く化粧品に配合されているわけではありません。レチノールは、光老化などの皮膚病の治療に使用されています。不足すると、乾燥症や毛包過角化が発症します。
レチノールは、アクティブレチノイドの前駆体として作用します。レチノールは、レチンアルデヒドに変換され、その後、レチノイン酸に変換されます。全-トランスおよび9-シス-レチノイン酸は、核受容体であるレチノイン酸受容体（RARs）およびレチノイド X 受容体（RXRs）のリガンドです。これらの受容体は、さまざまな遺伝子の転写を調節します。

The overfill tolerance for this product varies depending on the pack size. For 25 mg, the overfill tolerance is +1.0 mg. For 100 mg, the overfill tolerance is +5 mg. For 250 mg, the overfill tolerance is +10 mg. For 500 mg, the overfill tolerance is +25 mg. For 1 g, the overfill tolerance is +0.05 g.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
