Application

Neohesperidin USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia.
Also, for use with USP monograph such as:
  • Bitter Orange Fruit Flavonoids Dry Extract
  • Hesperidin

Biochem/physiol Actions

Flavanone glycoside with neuroprotective and antioxidant properties. Does not inhibit oral carcinogenesis in a rat model unlike other citrus flavanones, but does exert a protective effect against gastritis and gastric lesions.
