Saflufenacil may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:

• Crop plants by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) extraction and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS) with selected reaction monitoring (SRM) detection.[1]
• Maize grain and plant samples by modified QuEChERS extraction and LC-MS/MS.[2]
• Soil samples by modified QuEChERS extraction and UPLC-MS/MS.[3]

General description

Saflufenacil is a new pyrimidinedione herbicide registered for the preplant burndown and preemergence use in various agronomic crops.[4][5]
