Application

La iodoacetammide è stata usata:
  • nella digestione di proteine per l′analisi proteomica
  • per alchilare campioni proteici
  • per la denaturazione di allergeni del latte di mucca, β-lattoglobuline (BLG) e α-lattalbumine (ALA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

La iodoacetammide (IAA) viene impiegata per inibire la glicolisi, data la sua capacità di inibire irreversibilmente l′enzima glicolitico gliceraldeide-3-fosfato deidrogenasi (GAPDH). La IAA è usata per studiare il ruolo dei residui di cisteina nella catalisi enzimatica e nei processi di trasporto di cellule cerebrali. La iodoacetammide è in grado di reagire con composti tiolici a basso peso molecolare come il mercaptoetanolo e il glutatione. La IAA può anche bloccare enzimi come la bromelaina, la catepsina C, la clostripaina e la carbossipeptidasi P.
Nel sequenziamento dei peptidi, la iodoacetammide agisce come alchilante dei residui di cisteina. È un inibitore irreversibile degli enzimi che presentano residui di cisteina nel sito attivo. Reagisce molto più lentamente con i residui di istidina, ma, benché meno efficace, tale attività è responsabile dell′inibizione della ribonucleasi.

  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.
