Application
シグマ社提供の本酵素は Metarhizium anisopliae 由来のカルボキシペプチダーゼ A（MeCPA）の特異性の比較研究に用いられています。MeCPA は組み換えタンパク質の C 末端からポリヒスチジンタグの除去を促進するために遺伝子工学により開発されました。また、in vitro でのエチル-N-フェニルカルバマート（EPC）セファロースへの高い親和性を誘導するため、α-チューブリンの脱チロシン化にも用いられます。
ウシ膵臓由来カルボキシペプチダーゼ A は大腸菌内でのウシカルボキシペプチダーゼ A の可溶性かつ活性化可能な形態での発現研究に用いられています。ウシ膵臓由来カルボキシペプチダーゼ A はダチョウカルボキシペプチダーゼ前駆体の単離と部分的特徴付け研究に用いられています。
