Application

Fluorescent protein label forming stable conjugates
Sulforhodamine B acid chloride has been used to synthesize rhodamine-labeled polycation (PLL-ROD).[1] It has also been used in fluorescent protein tracer preparation.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The sulforhodamine B (SRB) assay is useful in determining the density of cells.
