This product may be swelled in 10 mM tris, 1 mM tetrasodium EDTA buffer (pH 7.9). One gram of DNA-Cellulose will swell to approximately 4 mL of wet resin.

A suggested procedure for the regeneration of a DNA-Cellulose column would be to use 5 - 10 column volumes of 2M NaCl in buffer, followed by the same volume of buffer alone.

DNA-Cellulose is stable in up to 5M NaCl. DNA-Cellulose should not be exposed to solutions of NaOH, since NaOH denatures DNA from double-stranded to single-stranded.
