This product is suitable for protecting any C18-modified analytical HPLC column with an inner diameter ranging from 1.0 mm to 4.6 mm. A notable effect to consider is the possible increased backpressure resulting from the smaller inner diameter of the guard column relative to the analytical column. Flow rates may need to be adjusted if the HPLC system backpressure rises above the 6,000 psi pressure rating of this guard.

General description
OPTI-GUARD® sets the standard for low-impact, easy to use pre-column protection. Designed for use with analytical (4.6 mm, 3.0 mm I.D.) and narrow bore (2.1 mm, 1.0 mm) columns, the patented floating stem design automatically adjusts to any manufactures tube stop depth for a zero-dead volume connection every time.
