Application
La BSA in soluzione al 30% può essere utilizzata come supplemento in terreni privi di siero. L′albumina di siero bovino è ampiamente usata come additivo per i terreni di coltura cellulare, soprattutto per quelli privi di siero. Offre una gamma di vantaggi tra cui la protezione dal danno ossidativo e la stabilizzazione di altri componenti dei terreni come gli acidi grassi e il piridossale.
General description
La BSA è una singola catena polipeptidica costituita da circa 583 residui amminoacidici e nessun carboidrato. A pH compreso tra 5 e 7 contiene 17 ponti disolfuro intracatena e 1 gruppo sulfidrilico.
