General description

もともとリンパ球活性化因子（LAF）として知られるインターロイキン-1（IL-1）は、T細胞とリンパ球を活性化し、次に増殖してインターロイキン-2を分泌します。¹ IL-1は主に刺激を受けたマクロファージと単球から放出されますが、他のいくつかの細胞タイプからも放出され、² 炎症反応および免疫反応において重要な役割を果たすと考えられています。³ IL-1の別名は以下のとおりです：内因性発熱物質（EP）、分裂促進的タンパク質（MP）、ヘルパーピーク-1（HP-1）、T細胞代替因子III（TRF IIIまたはTRF_H）、B細胞活性化因子（BAF）およびB細胞分化因子（BDF）。⁴ 密接に関連する2つの物質であるインターロイキン-1α（IL-1α）とインターロイキン-1β（IL-1β）は同じ細胞表面受容体に結合し、ほぼ同じ生物学的応答を誘発し、さらにアミノ酸配列では25%の相同性を共有しています。組換えラットIL-1βは、153のアミノ酸残基を含む17.3 kDaのタンパク質です。
