General description

PRKAR1A(cAMP依存性プロテインキナーゼ調節サブユニットIα型)は、1型PKAホロ酵素の一部を構成しています。PRKAR1Aは、TSE(tissue-specific extinguisher)であることがわかっており、ヘパトーマと繊維芽細胞のハイブリッド細胞で、7種類の肝臓遺伝子の発現を低下させています。PRKAR1A遺伝子の変異はカーニー複合(CNC)の原因であるとともに、遺伝子再構成によって癌原遺伝子RETと融合し、PTC2として知られる甲状腺腫瘍特異的なキメラがん遺伝子を形成します。このタンパク質について、非従来型の核局在化配列(NLS)が確認されており、複製因子C(RFC40)の第二サブユニットに対する核輸送タンパク質としての機能を通じて、DNA複製に役割を果たすことが示唆されています。
