General description

Dimethyl sulfoxide-d6 (DMSO-d6) is a deuterated solvent.[1] On photoirradiation in the range of 193 and 222nm, it undergoes decomposition to afford CD3 radicals. Quantum yields of CD3 have been evaluated by infrared diode laser absorption spectroscopy.[2] 100% DMSO-d6 has been used as solvent in the long-range COSY (Correlation Spectroscopy) experiment.[3]

Application

DMSO-d6 along with glycerol or glycerol-d8 forms highly viscous binary solvents with high dissolution power for complex biological active compounds.[4]
Dimethyl sulfoxide-d6 (DMSO-d6) has been employed as solvent for the dissolution of 1-allyloxy-2-hydroxy-propyl-starch (AHP-starch) to record its high resolution 1H NMR (Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectrum.[5]

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
