Questions

1–6 of 6 Questions
  1. Do you have any protocol to label NTA - Atto 647 N to His6-Taggged protein?

    1 answer
    1. No protocol is available for labeling His6-tagged protein with this product. Product 76508 is an Atto 647N Protein Labeling Kit, which includes a protocol in the documentation section.

      Helpful?

  2. Is this NTA-Atto 647N product supplied with Ni2+ included? I'm wondering that I should have to treat additional Ni2+ for NTA-Atto 647N function.

    1 answer
    1. This product is already complexed with nickel.

      Helpful?

  3. Can this NTA-atto 647N be applied to display the live cell covered with his-tagged protein?

    1 answer
    1. There is no protocol available for using this product with live cells.

      Helpful?

  4. Hi! What is the recommendations for storing of dissolved in PBS Ni-NTA-atto-647? Can I do multiple freeze/thaw cycles?

    1 answer
    1. The solution stability of NTA - Atto 647 N has not been evaluated. The original Atto 647 N is not stable in aqueous solutions for long-term storage and should be prepared fresh. Solutions prepared in anhydrous, amine-free DMSO or Dimethylformamide may offer some benefit to solution stability. It would be up to the end user to determine long-term storage, however, general practice is typically to aliquot and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

      Helpful?

  5. What is the molecular weight of this product ?

    1 answer
    1. The molecular weight of this product is 1120 g/mol.

      Helpful?

  6. How is Product 02175, NTA-Atto 647N, to be dissolved and diluted?

    1 answer
    1. The 250 μg of 02175-250UG-F, NTA-Atto 647N, may be dissolved in 250 μL of phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4, to make a 1 mg/mL stock solution. This stock solution may be diluted by a factor of 1:1000 as follows:---For use on gel: 25 μL of stock in 25 mL PBS.---For use on Western Blot (PVDF membrane): 25 μL of stock in 25 mL PBST (PBS plus 0.1% TWEEN 20).
