General description

Anti-neoplastic agent that blocks DNA replication by inhibiting ribonucleotide reductase. Induces apoptosis in chronic myelogenous leukemia lymphocytes. Reported to enhance the radiation effects in pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells. Releases NO in the presence of oxidizing agents.
