Bioprocessing Cell Culture Media

The image depicts a laboratory scene with two professionals working on a large stainless steel equipment. They are both wearing white lab coats and gloves, suggesting a sterile environment. One person is standing and appears to be handling something with purple gloves, while the other is seated. The equipment is connected to various tubes and wires, indicating its complex functionality.

CHO Media for Production of Monoclonal Antibodies and Next Generation Biopharmaceuticals

We offer a broad portfolio of industry-proven CHO media for the seed train (N-1), perfusion, fed-batch, and cell line development. These purpose-built formulations are designed to contain only those raw materials that have a specific role in supporting cell vitality and productivity. As problem solvers we also identify opportunities to further improve media consistency and handling, such as modified amino acids, a novel poloxamer, auto pH, and compaction to match novel process designs.

The result? Media that are tailored for your specific CHO-based application, maximizing productivity and enabling upstream process intensification – while keeping pace with evolving regulatory requirements.

For fed-batch processes, we aim to reduce the complexity of workflows by offering highly concentrated, one-part pH neutral feeds, allowing for a reduction in volume of feed added to replenish depleted nutrients, thereby increasing product yield. Highly concentrated, compacted format, easy to hydrate and product stability even at room temperature allow for streamlined workflows.

Insect Media for Production of Vaccine and Gene Therapy

The insect cell expression system has become an established manufacturing platform to produce recombinant proteins, virus-like particles (VLP) for vaccines, and adeno-associated viruses (AAV) to treat genetic diseases. The production of vaccine and gene therapy with insect cells requires specialized media that deliver high performance and high quality. Our media is chemically defined and specifically formulated to support robust growth of multiple insect cell lines, such as Sf-RVN®, Sf-9, Sf-21, S2, Tni and C636. The Insect CD media promotes excellent productivity and high-quality titers.

HEK293 Media for Production of Gene Therapy

The human cell line HEK293 is commonly used in the production of viral vectors for gene therapy and gene-modified cell therapy. Our HEK293 media for AAV and Lentivirus production incorporate carefully selected, high-quality raw materials and supplements for optimal cell expansion, transient transfection, and for producing high titer viral vectors. The media is chemically defined, animal component free, and specifically formulated to promote excellent growth and productivity of HEK cell lines. The media support suspension cell culture and are amendable to multiple types of transfection reagents such as PEI and other cationic polymers.
