Treatment of cutaneous wounds with poly-N-acetyl-glucosamine nanofibers (sNAG) results in increased kinetics of wound closure in diabetic animal models, which is due in part to increased expression of several cytokines, growth factors, and innate immune activation. Defensins are also important

Questions

  1. How many slides can be stained with the HT90T-1KT kit?

    1 answer
    1. The instructions in the HT90T kit advise to "flood" the slide with the various reagents provided. Each bottle contains 8 fluid ounces or approximately 237 ml. If 1 ml is used per slide, one can expect a maximum of 237 slides per kit. Using more reagent could reduce this number, potentially down to about 120 slides per kit. The thickness or size of the specimen placed on the slide may also impact reagent usage. The volume of differentiator used can vary depending on the specimen and the individual performing the assay.

A realistic number is likely in the range of 100 to 237 slides. However, this should be considered a rough estimate, not an absolute guarantee.

The HT90T kit is recommended for staining tissue sections attached to glass slides. In contrast, the HT90A kit is intended for staining smear prepared on glass slides. For reagent usage, the two different kits should stain an equal number of slides or specimens.
